Front Page of Richmond Times!
This was an accident at the end of our race with a parapalegic in the wheelchair finishing 1st in the Marathon, 26.2 miles up and down hill. The cop hit the wheelchair on his motorcycle and threw the guy out of his chair, 200 yards from the finish line........horrible thing to witness. Our whole group watched the entire thing! One minute we were cheering him on and the next we were running to help! Angi and I talked to the officer to help, but 3 ambulances were dispatched already, horrible! |
